1. Darkness was born
in the
heart of a child,
So young, trust had died,
As the child cried
Darkness laughed -
as
innocence died.
|
3. Slowly the child reached
out,
With a heart so full of
doubt.
What would be the cost
To save that which was lost?
“It’s done, It’s done-
I gave My only Son.”
|
But always inside,
There was a hope that cried:
“Won’t someone turn on
the light?
It’s dark, I’m so scared
of the night!”
|
As the child grew, there
were times she knew,
The darkness fought the
Light –
Oh, who would win the fight?
Hope was in the One who had
promised: ”It is done.”
|
2. As the years went by,
Darkness grew,
hope died.
The child’s heart grew
hard-
As the chains were locked,
The doors were closed and
barred.
|
4. As the years went by,
Hope grew, the darkness
died.
For all He had said was true.
“I never will leave you.
I’ll be a Father to you.
I’ll give you life anew!
|
But Someone watched above,
With a heart so full of
love.
He waited so patiently,
For the child to turn and
see-
“It’s Me- I’m the
Light,
Take My hand, hold it
tight…
Together we’ll make it
right.”
|
Hold tight, hold tight.
We’re going thru.”
I praise You, Father, I praise You, Father
Praise You, Lord of my life,
Praise You. Lord of my life.
