A long time ago there lived a man
Far away in a strange land.
He loved the Lord with all his heart
With his faith he would not part.
The world said: ”Dan, if you won’t sin,
We’ll throw you in the lion’s den!”
But just as he did every day
Daniel simply knelt to pray.
Well, that old king, he had a fit
He wouldn’t sing nor eat a bit.
You know, he knew it was his pride
That had taken Daniel from his side.
“Daniel, Daniel, servant of the living God,
Daniel Oh Daniel, can your God deliver you?”

When Daniel went into that place,
It looked like he had run his race.
But his mighty God was there.
He wasn’t harmed, not a single hair.
“Daniel, is Daniel servant of the living God
Daniel Oh Daniel, has your God delivered you?”
That old king believed that day,
Because Daniel wouldn’t go astray.
One heart, faithful.
One life , obedient.
One man praying.
An entire nation saying:
”Praise God! Praise God! Praise God!
Daniel, Daniel is servant of the living God.
Daniel Oh Daniel, your God has delivered you!” |
