| 1. Have Mercy upon me, O God, According to Your loving-kindness. Have mercy upon me, O God, According to the greatness of your mercy. |
5. Create in me a clean heart, O
God, And renew a steadfast spirit in me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, Or take Your Holy Spirit from me. |
| 2. Cover my sin with the blood, Wash me and cleanse me from my sin. For I know against You have I sinned, You are just when You speak, and blameless when You judge. |
6. Restore me to the joy of your
salvation, And uphold me by your mighty Spirit. Deliver me from my sins, O God, Oh God, the God of my salvation. |
| 3. You desire truth within my
heart, And within my heart You will make me wise. Purge me and I shall be clean, Wash me, I shall be whiter than snow. |
7. Then my tongue shall sing of
Your righteousness, Oh Lord, open my lips, I will praise Your name. You do not desire sacrifice, Or Lord, I surely would give it. |
| 4. Make me to hear joy and
gladness, That the bones You have broken may rejoice. Hide Your face from my sins, And blot out all of my inequities. |
8. The sacrifices of God are a
