filet Américain 'donut' sandwich

Once in a while I buy so-called 'Italian' bread which is nothing more than a fat French baguette. Sometimes they do come out a bit problematic when the dough rises too much and creates a huge air bubble in the middle , especially when you get more of empty than bread.

Of course the donut is not needed for a nice snack, but it adds a bit of fun to the venture.
