cheeseburger with onions

2017-10-25

A patty is nothing more than a flattened meatball. You can make them round, oval, square as your fancy goes, or perhaps the shape of your bread?

Everything you put in meatballs, you can also put in patties. You can stuff them like meatballs if you can fit it in there and you can stuff them inside bread or dough for empanadas. Serve them with a nice sauce, they get fancy names like Salisbury Steak. When you put them between bread, they're called burgers or hamburgers, even though they're not made with ham.

I don't do patties very often, but when I do—insert the world's most interesting man meme here—I treat them like what they are: flattened meatballs. This is how my Onions & Cheese Meatballs really turned out.
