tamarindo beef tongue soup

Yesterday’s beef tongue, reheated in a base of tamarindo paste and oriental stir-fry veggies.
Unlike tamarindo seafood soup, this is a meat-based soup. Quite different, yet also quite delicious.

INGREDIENTS

This is what you need for 4 quarts = 8+ servings:

  • up to 1/2 lb. tamarido paste
    OR 1 sachet tamarindo soup mix
  • 1 lb. Oriental stir-fry vegetable mix
  • 2 lbs. beef tongue, cooked, sliced with broth

If the beef tongue has been cooked in the tamarindo soup long enough, it will absorb some of the tamarindo flavor and assume a reddish color.
