- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 3 tbsp. vanilla sugar
OR 3 tbsp. sugar + 3/4 tsp. vanilla extract - 1 cup milk, room temperature
- 7 tbsp. butter, melted
- 3 eggs, sepaerated, at room temp.
- 1 pinch of salt

Brussels waffles are made with a yeast-leavened batter, which makes them lighter and crispier. They are rectangular with defined edges, and they have deeper pockets or holes than American pancakes.
