penne rigate

Penne rigate is a form of wheat pasta in the shape of a small tube, cut at an angle.
When it was developed, it was intended to imitate the tip of a fountain pen.

I tried it once, but it is not my favorite pasta shape. It is the same wheat pasta as the other shapes with exactly the same flavor. But because sauce cannot enter the tubes, there will be relatively more pasta and less sauce in your plate than with many other shapes. I prefer to taste more sauce.
