This is what you need for 2 servings:

up to 1.5 lbs. cod fillet, thawed
or any firm white fish e.g. haddock, pollock, halibut - 2-4 potatoes, cut in fries

fish batter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup corn starch
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- S&P
- optional:
- ½ cup dark beer
- ½ cup sparkling water
- 1 egg
