BBQ-sauce pork ribs

various days

Paint the pieces with BBQ sauce every 10 minutes for the last 30-40 minutes of cooking.
That creates a very sticky, very sweet sauce.

I find that ribs are juicier and more tender if they are cooked at lower temperatures (270-300 F.) with a little while under the broiler to finish them off.

b. BBQ-sauce ribs with beansprouts

This was mostly a leftover day. I reheated the ribs and gave them a lick of BBQ sauce. The vegetables were leftover scalloped potatoes and stir-fry vegetable mix, reheated in some milk to rejuvenate the béchamel sauce.

Beansprouts were stir-fried with tjap tjoy sauce.

INGREDIENTS

This is what you need for 2 servings:

  • 2 sets of 2-4 ribs
  • scalloped potatoes & veggie casserole
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 lb. beansprouts
  • S&P
