pan-fried meatballs

Pan-fried meatballs have more flavor than boiled ones.

This is the simplest meatball recipe, with the fewest ingredients. Other meatball recipes do have different ingredients. It doesn't matter too much what you put in those meatballs, as long as you like it. What really differentiates meatball recipes are the sauces that you serve them with.

Eggs help to keep the meat bound together. Without eggs, ground meat tends to fall apart when cooked.

This is what you need for 4 servings:

  • 1 lb. mixed ground meat (50-50)
  • 3 slices bread
  • ½ cup onions, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • S&P
  • your favorite spices
