beef stew with mushroom pepper sauce


 Quick, simple and delicious.

This is thin-cut chuck steak, cut small. Prepare it as described for a quick one-skillet dish, or alternatively stir-fry the meat separately like fajitas and reserve until the sauce is ready.

Baby Portobello mushrooms have a more intense flavor than white button mushrooms.


This is what you need for # servings:

  • 1 lb. thin-cut chuck steak
  • 1 medium onion
  •  olive oil
  • ¾ lb. baby Portobello mushrooms
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • S&P
