crockpot brisket

Food-safety warning:
Never load a crockpot with frozen goods. A crockpot cannot thaw that food quickly enough. Quick-thaw your foods under a running faucet or in the microwave.

We have two options to cook the brisket:

  1. dry-cooking (the red crockpot)
Place the seasoned brisket in a dry crockpot with 1 cup of water.
This will give a more savory brisket suitable for pulled meat, like a pot roast.
  2. wet-cooking (The green crockpot)
Place the seasoned brisket in a dry crockpot. Add enough warm water to cover the entire brisket.
This will make a very nice beef soup, the brisket will be soup meat.
