flax and rice soup


Flax produces the fibers that are used to make linen. The fragile-looking plant has multitudes of beautiful little blue flowers that can brighten up a field. Flax seeds are very nutritious, but sprouting the seeds improves digestibility considerably. Flax sprouts very quickly in only 4 hours.


This is what you need for 4 servings:

  • 1 cup flax seeds
  • ½ cup white rice
    Use rice with recommended cooking time of 15 minutes or more
  • 1 package Knorr vegetable mix
