Beef Heart & Potato Soup


This is one of my experimental recipes. It may not be great cooking, but I used what I had in the house at that time.

I usually pan-fry or stew beef heart. The typical heart flavor comes through very strongly in the soup. Beef heart is an acquired taste for many people. I expect not everyone will like this soup.


This is what you need for 4 servings:

  • 1 lb. beef heart, cubed
  • 2 pck Knorr “vegetable recipe mix”
  • dry potato flakes or mashed potatoes
  • S&P
