Tatsuko Ito
A gifted musician, singer, pianist and composer, Tatsuko was born in Shizuoka, Japan and graduated in singing with Shiori Ishida at Musashino College of Music in Tokyo. She also studied the piano with Moto Sasaki and composition with Kouichi Uzaki.
Tatsuko has performed in Japan for more than 30 years. She has held an annual concert of her own compositions at the Oji Hall in Tokyo and has been collaborating with Kaneko Iwasaki (well-known actress) for a decade. She has released CDs of ‘Tree House’ & ‘A Lullaby’. Doremi Publisher has published her ‘Japanese Folk Songs’, and also Chopin publisher has done her ‘Ave Maria 11 Songs’. She has also composed a piano quintet ‘Zoo’, and an orchestral piece ‘Article 9, the Japanese Constitution’.
The main emphasis of her composition is to bring the beauty of the Japanese words to life. Tatsuko Ito is a member of The Japan Federation of Composers Inc.
