PIETRO PAOLO BENCINI (1675 - 1755)
Born into a musical Roman family, in 1705 Bencini was appointed maestro
in the German church in Rome, La Chiesa di Santa Maria dell'Anima.
In 1706 he was appointed to the important position of guardiano of
the society of musicians. In 1743, he became maestro di cappella in
the Pope’s private chapel. |
