Antonie Jacobus Ackermann (1836-1914)
Antonie Ackermann, geboren in Rotterdam, studeerde aan de Koninklijke Muziek- en Zangschool (Koninklijk Conservatorium) in Den Haag bij Willem Nicolai, Carel Wirtz en J.H. Lübeck. Van 1865 tot 1905 was hij aan deze instelling verbonden als docent theorie, piano en orgel, later ook als adjunct-directeur en na 1905 als bibliothecaris. Sinds 1886 was hij secretaris van de Nederlandsche Toonkunstenaarsvereeniging.

Ackermann componeerde hoofdzakelijk liederen en pianowerken.
