| Flávio Gontijo (03/07/1948), a
Brzalian composer; born in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. He is a
former music professor of the Federal University. Since his youth he has
been a concert violinist, chamber musician and composer, especially of
choral and orchestral works. He is well-known in Brazil as a teacher,
director, violinist, violist and composer. Since 1973 a number of his choral
works have been performed abroad. He is member of the Brazilian Society of
Contemporary Music since 1976, and his name is included in the Encyclopedia
Britannica's Who's Who in Music. |
