I'm sending you photos of my
grand father Francisco Brunet Recasens at different ages.
Born in Barcelona, Spain, he lived between 1861 - 1939
He was a composer, choirmaster ("maestro de capilla"), organist, piano
professor.
He was also interested in photography and painting.
He composed about 165 works ( songs, masses, religious motets, etc), but I
have only around 60 of them.
The opus N° 116, composed in 1919 "NUEVE AVEMARIAS Y GLORIA a dos voces de
tiple con acompañamiento de organo u harmonio" is in my possession.
He received several musical prizes for his work.
Ha was married and had 12 children but only 7 arrived at the adult age.
He is buried in Barcelona, Spain.
