INGREDIENTS
This is what you need for 2 quarts = 6 servings:
- 1-2 cups long-grain rice
- 2 qts. cold water
optional:
- up to 1 can condensed milk
- up to 1 cup sugar / sucralose
- vanilla extract to taste
- cinnamon bark to taste

Horchata is a Mexican drink made with rice.
If prepared right, it is very refreshing. Many stores and restaurants make it too sweet to my liking.
Each of the optional additions adds another flavor. If you've never had this, start with rice only, add the optional ingredients later and see what you like best.
