With Covid-19 quarantine, all trips and outings together had to be cancelled as too risky. On the other hand, I found myself on food-runs to Las Cruces more frequently than before the pandemic. Restaurant outings were unsafe (and prohibited in New Mexico. Instead I brought the ingredients for more elaborate meals home.
We used to eat king crab as a meal, with nothing to accompany it. The crab sandwich with the leftovers was a variation of a well-known theme, but this was the first day that I added crab to other dishes.
Steaming is my preferred cooking method for king crab. It doesn't take long with the short cooking times of 8 minutes or less. I used the same method as usual.

Pic4-6: poblano pepper stew with king crabSunday is pizza day for Marielos, and since I had the crab ready and cooked I added some to the pizza before I served it. Not really my most successful kitcheneering combination. The crab was gone before she started on the pizza. :-)
