INGREDIENTS
This is what you need for 2 servings:
- 4 calamari steaks
- 1 lb. vegetable medley (Sam's Club)
- S&P. seasoning
sauce:
- 4 tbsp. butter
- 1 lemon or lime, juiced
- 1/2 cup non-pareil capers, drained
I discovered these at the Sprouts store in Las Cruces, 75 miles away.
They have a nice fish desk with better variety than I have seen anywhere else in this area.

They look and feel like silicon plastic sheets. They are the cone-shaped body of a squid that has been sliced on one side and unrolled into a flat 'steak.'
I liked them OK, Marielos not so much. Too 'fishy' to her liking.
