Alphabet soup is always a popular menu item, if only because everyone will try writing their name with the pasta letters. :-)
The easiest way to make pasta soups is to use ready-made packages.
Vermicelli, stars, letter pasta and many other shapes are also available separately and can be added to any soup.
It doesn’t have to be tomato soup. Vermicelli is quite often used in sickbed chicken soup.

IMPORTANT:
If you have leftovers to be refrigerated, strain the pasta letters to separate them from the liquid. If left in the soup, they will keep absorbing liquid and will get mushy. Add the letters back when you warm up the soup again, or even better, use new ones.
There are more small pasta varieties than I care to list here.
These are just a few of the many.
You can of course also add full-size spaghetti or other shapes.
That is entirely up to your preference.

You don't need to limit yourself to the pasta. Feel free to add meats or vegetables as well.
