Ever since the CDs "New Age Opera" and "Ave Maria" were released, ORIGEN has become one of the most respected and beloved artists of the New Age/Classical/Electronic Crossover genre. The International Association of Independent Recording Artists, IAIRA, recognizes and honors artistic achievement, technical proficiency, and overall excellence in sound recording by monitoring chart activity as published in various reporting charts from around the world. According to IAIRA reasearch on 09/16/2010 the Origen's release Lacrimosa had attained The Number 26 Position on the charts monitored and verified by IAIRA. On the basis of that research, IAIRA has qualified the aforementioned release as eligible for Certification as an International 'Top 40'. Origen was founded in 1995 by composer, producer and sound engineer Alexsey Zakharenko from Kyiv (Ukraine) and named after an early Christian theologian and one of the most distinguished figure of the early Christian Church. In 2002 Alexey Zakharenko invited opera soprano Tanya Lubimenko to take part in the recordings of the album "Ave Maria" and it was the good choice. In September 2002 "Ave Maria" (Caccini) was at TOP 40 mp3.com General Charts and soon all tracks from this album were on the top of different international charts. The next Origen's album "New Age Opera" dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the group contains some popular cover songs such as "Time to say goodby" and "Conquest of Paradise" featuring famous Kyiv Chamber Choir.. This album proved that Origen stayes in the range and can compete with the biggest stars of popular music such as Sarah Brightman, Emma Shaplin, Vangelis. In 2009 Origen has created their sixth album and work of art entitled:"Solveig's Song." Origen founder, Alexsey Zakharenko, has dedicated four years of intensely creative time to produce a masterpiece that combines, not only reinterpretations of classical music, but also his own original compositions. Award winning opera singer Tanya Lubimenko soars in and out of the music like a rare, mystical being. And Zakharenko, like a magician, has certainly worked his magic here and used his musical wand to renew and reinvent these classic pieces especially for her. She's worth it. Surely her voice is otherworldly. She has placed herself in the most rare category of singers and She is beyond compare. The next release single "The Freandship" is the result of unusual collaboration between Alexsy Zakharenko and award winning singer-songwriter-guitarist, Jackie Carlyle. The uniqueness if this collaboration lie in the fact that the co-authors have never met, saw and even spoke each other. J.Carlyle lives in Las Vegas (USA) while Zakharenko is from KIev (Ukraine). Their first virtual online project resulted in the single "The Frienship" and the album "Sculptures Made of Air". |
