I received a BA in music from the University of
NC at Greensboro in 1982, with voice (Tenor) as my principal instrument.
While there I also studied piano, organ, and harpsichord as well as
composition.
I've been writing music since I was in high school, although not completing
many pieces. While in college, I realized that I didn't want to make my
living in music and went on to obtain an MBA and begin a career in IT. In
the last few years however, I've put renewed effort into composition and
have obtained performances of a few of my pieces by local ensembles and
church choirs.
I generally compose for myself or for friends, rather than by commission.
I'm open to and welcome any feedback offered. Thanks for your interest!
