Music has been set to that prayers text by some of the greatest composers the world has known. I'm sure you'll enjoy hearing its beautiful melody and harmonies. Of equal importance to this version of the Ave Maria, is its enclosed message. In a world greatly troubled with wars, terrorism, immorality, self-indulgence, and especially greed and selfishness, I felt compelled to ask for divine guidance. Where the piece and prayer would normally end with Nunc et in hora mortis nostrae (Now, and at the hour of our death), I inserted the addendum lyrics, "Sancta Maria, Beata et casta: ora pro nobis, aduiva nos. Egemus tua caritate.* " I'm asking the Blessed Mother of Jesus, the Son of God -- "Holy Mary, Blessed and pure: pray for us; help us. We need your love."
