Fray Vicente Ortiz de Zarate, Reside en la
ciudad de Guadalajara, Jalisco. México, durante el periodo barroco hacia el
siglo XVIII, funge como Maestro de Capilla en la Catedral Metropolitana de
Guadalajara, a de inspeccionar o tañer los organos instalados por Dn .Joseph
Nasarre de 1727 a 1730. Poco se sabe de su vida y deja un legado patrimonial
musical importante que en el archivo historico se halla.
From family of musicians from Spain who settled
in Valladolid (now Morelia) in Michoacan where he grew up and later lived in
Guadalajara. Vicente became the first organist and later maestro de capillo
of the cathedral in Guadalajara.
