1978 – 1982 he studied composition at the Conservatory in Bratislava (composition – Juraj Pospíšil, conducting – Alojz Vykydal) 1982 – 1987 the Academy of Music and Drama in Bratislava (composition – Dezider Kardoš) 1986 a study programme at the Academy of Music (Accademia Chigiana Siena) in Siena (F. Donatoni) Since 1987 he has taught music theory and composition at the Conservatory in Bratislava 1990 – 1994 head of the Composition and Conducting Department of the Conservatory, where he led the Ensemble for contemporary music 1993-1996 he worked at the Department of Theoretical Subjects of the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts Prizes : 1981- Prix A.Honegger Paris Finale with String Quartet No.1 1992-Main Prize Rocky Montreal/Banff Festival/ video opera Memento Slovak Music Fund Prize / twice / ...and many other little prizes...
