About the composer
Marek Jasiński was born in Stargard Szczeciński, Poland, in 1949. He studied
composition and conducting at the State Higher School of Music in Poznań and
at the Poznań Academy, from which he graduated in 1979. He then
started a career as composer and academic teacher, first in the Sczcecin
Branch of Poznań Music Academy, and from 1995 at the Bydgoszcz Music Academy
where he became a professor in 1999. For his compositions he received
numerous awards. Among his compositions are symphonic works and
chamber music, but the majority are sacred choral works.
