Mary has just been informed that she is to be executed. She knows that her
Catholic Faith is seen by Queen Elizabeth as a major threat, hence the
execution. Mary prays to the Virgin in an Ave Maria but includes her own prayers
in old French.She is joined by her maidservant Jane and other members of her
staff.
