El azkoitiarra Miguel María Azpiazu es de sobra reconocido en su faceta de compositor musical y son conocidas sus numerosas obras sacras, folclóricas, navideñas, etc., que ha compuesto en los últimos 50 años. Este polifacético azkoitiarra tiene también otra vertiente artística y creativa que es la relacionada con la pintura. Aficionado desde siempre, no pudo dedicarse a la pintura hasta el momento de la jubilación y ahora pinta un poco todos los días. La Sala Torre Zuri alberga una muestra de su obra hasta el próximo 18 de enero (sábados y domingos) y también hoy que es festivo. 30 óleos de estilo figurativo conforman esta exposición que muestra de una forma muy colorista paisajes urbanos y campestres, en su mayoría de Azkoitia, pero también con estampas de municipios costeros cercanos y alguna que otra ciudad. La luz y la variedad cromática, con colores brillantes, vivos y alegres son elementos predominantes en esta muestra que aunque en su mayoría dedicada a los paisajes, lanza algún guiño a la expresión abstracta, al cubismo, a la figura humana y a la pincelada de humor.
