Carlo Angeloni (16/07/1834 - 13/01/1901), an Italian composer (born in Lucca). He was a very talented musician but unfortunately never received world-wide acclaim. Angeloni was a popular and respected teacher at the Instituto Musicale Pacini, where he taught many aspects of the voice, including singing, harmony and counterpoint. He also was an accomplished organist. Among many musicians who received their musical education from Carlo Angeloni, probably the most famous was another prodigy from Lucca by the name of Giacomo Puccini. |
